People and partners across York came together on 25 July to welcome Wendy Morton MP, the Rail Minister and display York’s credentials to host the headquarters of Great British Railways (GBR).
York is one of six areas competing to be the location for the GBR headquarters.
York’s rail campus is within 10 minutes’ walk of the station and with a major development milestone reached recently at York Central, York has a major, Network Rail and Homes England owned site, located right next to one of the best connected stations on the British rail network.
