York Central team receive positive feedback at Scrutiny Committee

Members of the York Central team were Invited to attend the latest City of York Council Scrutiny committee on 9th December 2024, to provide an update on York Central. This followed the last update to the Committee in March 2024.

Made up of Councillors from all three main parties, the Corporate Services, Climate Change and Scrutiny Management Committee challenges and monitors large projects which the Council has an involvement in.

Claire Foale led the meeting from CYC and was joined by Tom Gillman from McLaren Regeneration, Leon Guyett from Homes England and Tom Devine from the National Railway Museum to provide an update on various elements for the project. 

Included as part of a wider agenda, York Central was discussed for over an hour. The team provided updates and fielded questions on housing, sustainability, access routes, target audiences for office space and the York Central Community Fund were among the topics covered.
